My Footprints On Social Media

The use of social media and the internet has become very common today. People share their daily lives on their social media accounts, follow other lives, shop, pay their bills and perform many different activities. In fact, distance education has been done for months during the covid19 pandemic process.

While doing these activities , our students experience difficulties from time to time and leave too many traces on the internet without realizing it , because there is not enough information about media literacy . Our aim in this project is to improve our students' social media literacy competencies, to ensure that they have information about internet security, to inform them about their digital footprint and to enable them to use safe internet.

TARGETS

To ensure that our students use technology correctly and effectively
Being media literate
Learning to use the internet safely
Learning to use social media correctly
Learning to respect rights in the virtual world
Increasing their technological equipment by using Web 2.0 / Web3.0 tools
To increase students' self-confidence through group work they will do in cooperation
To enable students from different geographies to interact
Developing students' imaginations.
To provide students with 21st century skills.
Our target audience is students between the ages of 15-19.

EXPECTED RESULTS

They will use social media consciously.
They will learn to use the internet safely.
They will learn to do their homework research on the internet by following the safe internet rules.
They will be able to use social media by complying with ethical principles.
They will learn to respect the rights of others while protecting themselves in the virtual world.
Socializing with students from different cultures on a common platform will be provided.
They will provide technological development with the Web 2.0 / Web3.0 tools they will use.
Our students will be able to get to know themselves and their abilities better.
Student-parent-teacher cooperation will be developed.

MY FOOTPRINTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Project team prepared a fragman for introducing the Project.

The Project team made a presentation about ‘Safer Internet Day Activities’at school to inform the importance of the day with their friends.

We made a team poster for the Project ‘My Footprints on Social Media’.

The students in the Project made a video for introducing our country and city.

The Project team has prepared logos for the Project.

Our first Teachers’ webinar to organize the porject activities.

The students’ webinar was organized to inform them about the Project activities.

FEBRUARY ACTIVITIES

The Project students made a thematic calendar .The students of Nazilli High School made month of June about ‘Make Sure Your Internet Connection Secure’.

We worked on Media Literacy and Disinformation and made posters about the topic.

In Februaray the Project team worked on Internet News Verification Sites in Türkiye.They Made posters about the topic.

The students prepared a poster about News Verification Methods.

MARCH ACTIVITIES

The Project teams prepared an e-book about Cyberbullying.The students of Nazilli High School prepared pages of the book about ‘What is the role of school management and teachers in combating Cyberbullying?’
